It is with great sadness that the family of Heather Patricia Yeates (nee: Lalonde), 73, of Sault Ste. Marie, ON, announces her passing on November 4, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
Heather was born April 20, 1952, in Kirkland Lake, ON. While a young adult, she lived in Victoria, British Columbia. Heather returned home to Kirkland Lake where she met her husband Allan, the love of her life and best friend in 1991. Together they made their home in Sault St. Marie.
Heather enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was affectionately known as Auntie Heather to all the children in Fisher Trailer Park.
Heather was the daughter of the late Mable Elsie Tonkin (Jim McNulty) and Thomas Lalonde. Heather was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Judy & David Rudd, infant sister Linda, infant brother Robert.
Left to mourn is her beloved husband Allan Yeates, her son Steve Mackenzie, stepdaughter Tara Yeates and her children Riley, Everett, River (and their father Gordie Butts), and stepson Ryan all of Sault Ste. Marie, daughter Carrie Emerick, son Ken Emerick of British Columbia. Sadly, missed by her sisters Diane Lalonde and Torey (Drew) Robertson and brothers Charles Lalonde and Jim Lalonde. Her loss will be felt by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. She will also be missed by her furry friend, Mischief.
Heather is once again able to pet Bandit, Tia Maria and Jose Fernados, her pets who passed before her.
A Celebration of Life will be planned later in Sault Ste. Marie.
