It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Duane, who left us on September 18, 2025. Duane was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose quiet strength and gentle spirit touched the lives of those around him.
Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Duane was the cherished son of Mildred Wood and the late Clarence Wood. Devoted brother of Darrell Wood. His presence brought comfort and laughter, and his memory will forever be held close in their hearts.
On November 3, 2025, Duane was brought home and laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery, near his father—a final resting place.
A small celebration of Duane’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Boiler Room (Mill Market) in Sault Ste. Marie. Friends and family are warmly invited to gather, share memories, and honour the life of Duane.
Though he has departed this world, Duane’s memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
