One person is facing charges after a robbery in a multi-unit residential building earlier this month.
Sault Ste. Marie Police were called to the 0-100 block of Old Garden Road on Oct. 3.
“An investigation revealed the accused, who is not well known to the victim, entered the victim’s unit without their permission and stole their wallet,” said police in a news release.
“When the victim followed the accused out of the unit and asked for it back, the accused kicked the victim’s vehicle—damaging it—and punched them.”
Police obtained a warrant, then arrested a suspect yesterday.
Tricia Robinson, 38, has been charged with:
- Break and Enter – Commit Indictable Offence
- Mischief – Under $5,000
- Robbery
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order x3
- Failure to Attend Court After Having Appeared
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
