Searchmont Ski Resort is offering a chance to view the changing colours while riding its lift.
Kim Burkhardt, the resort's general manager, said they began this service last year.
"We opened Labour Day and we'll be open Saturday and Sunday straight through until Thanksgiving weekend," Burkhardt said.
With the purchase of a ticket, guests get a slowed-down ride to the top of the mountain and have the option of hiking or taking the lift back down.
“That chair lift takes 11 to 13 minutes to get to the top,” she said.
“In the winter it's up to seven minutes . . . so we slowed it down during the summer because of foot traffic and then you take a nice leisurely walk down that typically takes between an hour and an hour-and-a-half to get to the bottom.”
Burkhardt said guests can also grab a bite to eat at the Kiln restaurant.
The resort is open every weekend until Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
