VIDEO: Gracey May Sweet Treats will help you keep cool this summer

Gracey May Sweet Treats is open and serving smiles by the spoonful

A new place in Echo Bay may tempt you to stop in for a snack.

Gracey May Sweet Treats is open and serving smiles by the spoonful.

Located beside the Home Hardware and across the street from the Echo Bay Fire Hall, Gracey May is new, having opened over the May long weekend.

"A lot of restaurants were closing," said Keri McNaught, the owner/operator of Gracey May.

"My husband and I started talking and came up with the idea of an ice cream trailer."

All summer, the trailer will serve hard ice cream in a variety of flavours, along with milkshakes, floats, brownies, and even pup-cicles: Frozen treats designed for our four-legged friends.

Word of the new treat stop has spread quickly.

"The feedback has been fantastic," McNaught said. The Facebook page has seen a buzz of activity since going online.

When asked about the name, she said: "I named it after the two strongest, smartest, most beautiful women I knew, my nana and my mother."
