Police charged a 37-year-old man on Wednesday after a victim was assaulted with a knife.
At around 9:40 p.m., a 911 caller reported a victim was assaulted with a knife by someone unknown to them at a residence in the 300 block of Wellington Street East, police said.
An investigation revealed the suspect had banged on the victim’s door and, when the victim opened it, started an altercation and assaulted them with a knife before leaving the residence.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
Officers located the suspect at a nearby residence and arrested him.

- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
