Sherie Gladu's Divine Nature solo show at the Art Hub at Spring will open this week.
This show will feature work from the past five+ years with a variety of original paintings and reproductions reflecting recent works.
A past graduate of the White Mountain Academy in Elliot Lake, Gladu has worked over the last 20 plus years to continue developing her range of expression and has settled in comfortably to her private studio on St. Joseph Island.
The work centres around the idea of the natural world as divine. Bold colour, intense lighting and stylized designs that are inspired by stain glass work lean into her understanding of the natural world as being a place of splendour and worthy of being displayed as a divine creation.
Never one to get stuck in a rut, her style is fluid and always changing to meet the next creative inspiration.
The opening will be held at 504 Queen St. E. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, with the show open from 5-8pm, and meet the artist between 6:30 and 8 p.m.
The show runs on Wednesday nights from 5-8 p.m. until Nov. 26, and by appointment.
