December 20, 1970-November 9, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Stephan Brian Ross on November 9th, 2025, at 5:31pm, surrounded by those who loved him most.

Stephan leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Katrina Ross as well as his treasured daughters Brittney (Marc), Brianne (Mike), and Brook (Kallhan). Papa of his 6 grandchildren Oakley, Danica, Cameron, Noah, Levi and Charlotte whom he loved dearly. Son of Paul Leclair and the late Brenda Leclair. Loved brother of Melanie (Jeff) and Jason. Son-in law of Sandra Whitehead and the late Warren Whitehead, brother-in law to Tara (Andrew) and Jonathan (Cindy). Stephan will be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Stephan will also be especially missed by his Metro family, where he worked for over 30 years.

In 2002 Stephan received another gift of life by the miracle of a heart transplant that gave us all an extra 23 years of memories, love and laughter. While Stephan faced hardship in this life, he remained positive, resilient and proved each and every day how this life should be lived. He was a fighter. He was a firm believer that you should never take your organs to heaven, as heaven knows we need them here. We give immense thanks to his organ donor and transplant team for their care all these years and the extra time we’ve been blessed with.

In his healthy times, Stephan enjoyed many camping trips in Searchmont, fishing, and hockey games. Anyone who knew him, knew what a dedicated fan of the Montreal Canadiens he was. Well dad, now you are free to go to every game and watch them win the Stanley Cup. The chains are finally broken, and you are free to do all that you loved without limitation. We are so so so so proud of you.

We give special thanks to Dr. Ladak, and nurses Tawny and Kendra for the compassion and empathy we received during this difficult time.

As per Stephan’s wishes, there will be no funeral service, and cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life to take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ross family as they navigate through this next stage of life. Donations may be brought to O’Sullivan Funeral Home.
