Police arrested a 28-year-old Sault man after a robbery occurred at a business in the 0 - 100 block of Great Northern Road on Saturday.
At around 12:10 p.m., a 911 caller reported a disturbance outside a business.
An investigation revealed the accused left the business with several items he had not paid for and, when confronted by a security officer, the accused punched them, police said in a news release.
“The security officer placed the accused in handcuffs, but the accused ran away and used the handcuffs to damage a vehicle in the parking lot” before he was arrested.
Aaron Kerr was charged with:
- Robbery
- Mischief – Under $5,000
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order x2
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing. None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
