Daniel Paul L’Heureux, known affectionately to all as Daniel, has taken his final bow on the grand stage of life. Born on June 5, 1959, in the welcoming town of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Daniel's journey through life was one filled with laughter, love, and the kind of practical jokes that could only come from a soul as jovial as his. On November 6, 2025, in the quaint and cozy town of Timmins, Ontario, Daniel peacefully drifted off, leaving us with memories as warm and comforting as a well-worn flannel shirt. He is now reunited with his parents Jean Paul and Kathleen and his sister Paula.

Daniel was the kind of man who could find humor in the everyday, a trait that made him a magnet for friends and a joy to be around. He was a master mechanic, not just of cars but of comedy, always ready with a quip as sharp as his wrench. His brother Lonnie L’Heureux (Kelly), his stepson, Timothy Smith, along with numerous nieces and nephews, will remember him as the fun uncle who could fix anything, from a leaky faucet to a gloomy day.

His life was as full and rich as the great Canadian wilderness he so loved to explore. Daniel was an avid outdoorsman, with a passion for fishing and hunting that was only matched by his love for a long, hard drive with no particular destination in mind. The open road was his comedy club, where he'd rehearse his best material, often leaving fellow travelers in stitches at rest stops and gas stations.

Those who knew Daniel would say he was loving, kind, and funny, a trifecta of traits that made him the best company one could ask for. He had a knack for making the mundane magical, and his presence was a gentle reminder not to take life too seriously. As the great Robin Williams once said, "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." Daniel not only kept his spark but fanned it into a flame that warmed everyone around him.

As we say goodbye to Daniel, we can't help but smile through our tears, for he wouldn't have it any other way. His legacy is not one of sorrow but of joy, a collection of moments that remind us to laugh, to love, and to live fully. Daniel Paul L’Heureux may have exited stage left, but the echo of his laughter will resonate in our hearts forever. So, let's crank up the engine, cast a line into the water, and share a chuckle as we remember a man who was truly one of a kind. Daniel, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
