Steve-O's Crash and Burn tour is coming to Sault Ste. Marie on Sept. 17.

A Jackass star promises to break all the rules when he comes to Sault Ste. Marie this September.

Steve-O’s Crash and Burn Tour is set for the Sault Community Theatre Centre on Sept. 17, bringing a multimedia stand-up show with never-seen-before stunt footage to the community stage.

As one of the mainstay Jackass crew members, Stephen Glover – popularly known as Steve-O – has spent decades bringing the dangerous, hilarious, and outrageous to life over a body of work spanning numerous movies and TV shows.

September’s one-part stand-up comedy, one-part stunt viewing show should be no exception.

“I just absolutely went to war to film the most high level Jackass stuff that I possibly could, and it's all new,” Steve-O told SooToday.

“It's all unseen. It's exclusive to the show I designed.”

Like all the Jackass films before it, the now 50-year-old Steve-O said his stunts continue to push the envelope in a performance akin to a “midlife crisis on steroids.”

“I make every effort to break all the f***ing rules,” he said. “If it's allowed on YouTube, I'm really not super interested in shooting it for my show.”

Steve-O’s hybrid-style show developed after he found himself mining material from his “colourful past” for his stand-up comedy performances.

“I no longer wanted to live in the past, regaling old stories and recycling old footage – what I wanted to do was create new material and new footage and bring the footage on the road,” he said.

With British, American, and Canadian citizenship to his name, he also said he loves bringing his work north of the 49th parallel.

"I love to hail my Canadian citizenship every opportunity that I get," he said.

"I just want to say thanks to Canada for being so good. I feel more loved in Canada than I do in America, and I feel pretty loved in America."

Since he's been at it for decades, Steve-O has considered winding his wild lifestyle down. He said he found that headspace a “bummer,” so instead he plans to keep risking life and limb moving forward.

“I'm going to take as it comes, and if I got some crazy ideas, I don't know what comes next,” he said.

“I know my wheels are going to keep turning, and I imagine that as long as I can do it, I’ll do it.”

Tickets for the show can be found here.
