The Soo Greyhounds have dealt veteran forward Charlie Hilton.

The team announced this afternoon that Hilton has been traded, along with a sixth round pick in the 2028 OHL Priority Selection, to the Oshawa Generals.

“Some transactions go beyond hockey. Charlie has been through a lot in his young life, and we’re happy to have been able to get him closer to home so he can spend more time with his family while continuing his OHL career,” Greyhounds general manager Kyle Raftis said in a prepared statement.

In return, the Greyhounds receive a third round pick in the 2029 draft and a conditional 10th rounder in 2029.

Hilton left the team to return home for personal reasons earlier this month and played his last game with the team on Oct. 5 in North Bay.

Hilton is from the Oshawa area.

Originally a 14th round pick of the Ottawa 67’s in the 2022 draft, Hilton was acquired by the Greyhounds on Oct. 4, 2024.

Hilton played in 59 games with the Greyhounds, scoring five goals and seven assists.
