BON SOO WINTER CARNIVAL

Bon Soo is back at Moonlight Magic, the beloved annual celebration on Queen Street that marks the start of the winter season.
Join us for the city’s Tree Lighting Ceremony, festive photos with Santa and Mr. Bon Soo, a sneak-peek at the sauna up for raffle, live music, late-night shopping, and more – all designed to spark joy and community spirit.
“Moonlight Magic and Bon Soo are cherished traditions that hold a special place in our community’s heart,” said Michael Dal Cin, board treasurer.
“As these events evolve, they continue to create new memories while honouring the past. It’s a perfect partnership with the Sault Downtown Association to celebrate the changing seasons together.”
This year’s Moonlight Magic also marks the countdown to the 63rd annual Bon Soo Winter Carnival, presented by OLG, running Feb. 13 - 21, 2026. It’s your first chance to grab the 2026 Bon Soo button or jacket tag – your ticket to all things Bon Soo!
The souvenir button is a collectible design, inspired by our 2025 contest winner Jacqueline Pelletier, and is $12 - get them while they last! Jacket Tags are $8. Some activities may have additional fees beyond the button or jacket tag purchase.

When: Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025 | 4 - 9 p.m. (Tree Lighting Ceremony at 7 p.m.)
Where: Downtown Plaza, 526 Bay St., Sault Ste. Marie
Bon Soo Buttons and Jacket Tags: Available for purchase at the Bon Soo booth, located in front of the Downtown Plaza on the Queen Street side.

Marie residents and visitors in a shared appreciation of the warmth and beauty that comes when we embrace the winter season together.”
