Laurentian University is opening its doors to you, your family, and anyone you would like to bring along to its annual Fall Open House, on Saturday, October 25th from 9:30am to 3:00pm.
Danielle Yasko, Events and Communications Coordinator says, “The Fall Open House is a wonderful opportunity to truly immerse yourself in the university community and discover the many options available.” This special event is designed to explore the campus while meeting the people who make the community so welcoming and supportive.
Throughout the day, you will have the chance to meet faculty members from a wide range of programs. It’s an opportunity to ask questions about courses and career pathways. Yasko says, “Students can experience campus life firsthand by attending a sample lecture, dining in our Great Hall, and connecting with current students. For parents and guardians, it’s also a chance to ask important questions and gain valuable insights.” Connecting with students who can share their personal experiences will give you a sense of what life is really like at Laurentian.
You can chat with representatives from student services to learn more about the resources that will help you succeed both academically and personally. Visitors are encouraged to explore every building on campus. Guided tours will run throughout the day, giving you a chance to see classrooms, residences, and Laurentian University’s outstanding athletic facilities. Attending a sample lecture can give you a sense of what it’s like to learn at the university level and to picture yourself as a future Laurentian student.
Another important part of the day is the Student Services Fair, where you can ask questions about the various clubs and organizations you can join at Laurentian. From academic and cultural groups to recreational activities, the Student Services Fair will give you a sense of the vibrant campus life at Laurentian.
The Fall Open House is a valuable opportunity to see Laurentian University up close and meet the people who are here to support you. Whether you are just beginning to think about university, or you are already planning your next steps, the day is designed to help you gather the information and experiences you need to help you make the best decision for your future. As Danielle Yasko says, “This day is all about preparing for the exciting journey ahead.”

We look forward to welcoming you on Saturday, October 25th, and to sharing all that Laurentian University has to offer.
