From the lakes to the snowmobile trails, having your machine running in peak condition is always paramount. Nobody knows that better than Loonie Toons Pontoons & Powersports.

They’re famous for their expertise in marine sports with their vast selection of new and used boats and pontoons, but Loonie Toons is also your one-stop shop in the Desbarats and Algoma area to service powersports and small engines.

Justin Gomes is the general manager of Loonie Toons Pontoons & Powersports and explains what makes their service department stand out compared to other powersports and marine dealers.

Loonie Toons’ one-hour diagnosis policy

“If we’re doing a diagnosis and we can fix the problem within the diagnosis time, that’s all you pay. There’s no unnecessary minimum,” Gomes said. “After the one hour, we advise the customer about what we’ve done and where we’re at.

“We’re never going to proceed over an hour without the customer knowing. At that point, it’s up to them to decide what they want to do.”

Most dealers will charge a one-hour diagnostic fee at minimum to look at the issue and then proceed with the repairs. But at Loonie Toons, if it’s a simple fix that takes less than an hour, you only pay the one-hour diagnostic fee.

Another pain point that customers might experience elsewhere is sourcing parts for their repair and excessive wait times on repairs. Loonie Toons not only will move heaven and earth to find your parts, but you also won’t have to wait ages to get your repair done.

Service within one to three days

“You’re not going to bring anything here and we’re going to tell you: ‘No, we don’t have time for you’ or: ‘That’s going to take three months.’ That’s never the case,” Gomes said. “Usually within one to three days, we can get you in.”

As we head into the tail end of boating season and prepare for sledding season, Loonie Toons offers a full slate of services, from winterization of boats, wrapping and storage, to diagnosis on outboard and inboard motors.

Open year-round to service all your machines

Make no mistake, marine is a big part of the business, but Loonie Toons Pontoons & Powersports is full speed ahead during the fall and winter season, too. They specialize in small engine and powersports repairs and service, tune-ups and even intricate engine rebuilds and installations.

Once your boat is tucked away for the winter, it’s the perfect time to get your snowmobile ready for the season. Loonie Toons’ service department will get your sled trail-ready; from standard oil changes to diagnosis services.

They also service ATVs, snowblowers and chainsaws. Any small engine repair you need, Loonie Toons can tackle it with ease.

Getting you back out onto the water or the trails as quickly as possible is what Loonie Toons lives for. Boating, trail season and sledding season are short enough as-is; you shouldn’t have to spend weeks or months waiting for your machine to be ready for action.

“I strive for honesty and integrity,” Gomes said. “We don’t charge you those extra fees. Let me show you how good we are and you make the decision. We honour our work. We stand by our products and we stand by our work. If something is not right, I’ll make sure it’s right.”

Start making more memories out on the water or in the great outdoors and bring your marine and powersports vehicles to the service department at Loonie Toons Pontoons & Powersports. They’re open all year-round for repairs and service, as well as Algoma and Desbarats’ home for powersports and ATV equipment sales.
