CRIME OF THE WEEK: Weapons, generators, and a boat stolen north of Thessalon

More than $17,000 in property was taken and police believe there may be other victims

Crime Stoppers and the Ontario Provincial Police are looking for the help of the public as part of a break and enter investigation in the Thessalon area.

Between early September and mid-October, five travel trailers were broken into in the remote Peshu Lake and Aubrey Falls area north of Thessalon, off Highway 129.

Police say the suspects stole more than $17,000 worth of property, including Remington and Coey shotguns, a .22 Savage rifle, a pellet gun, a 12-foot aluminum boat with a 4HP Johnson motor, two red Honda generators, multiple propane tanks, a solar panel, deep-cycle batteries, and a variety of tools, fishing gear, and camping equipment.

Police believe there may be additional victims.
