Surrounded by the love of her family, Jan passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday November 9th, 2025, at the age of 70.
Devoted mother and best friend of Amy (Kerry) and beloved grandmother of Chase. Survived by her brother Ted. Jan will be reunited with her brothers Fred and Steve, and sisters Gloria and Flora. Daughter of the late John and Helen Corbiere. She will be missed by her many friends and family.
Jan enjoyed watching the birds outside her window, and watching the Bruins play. She especially loved spending time with her grandson.
Special thanks to S.A.H. ER Department, Dr. Bowen and 3C nurses especially Katie and “G” for all they did to make Jan comfortable and the compassion they showed the family during this difficult time.
Chi miigwech to Christie Barry, mom’s PSW of 3 years who went above and beyond caring for her and to Willard and Marie Pine for the visit and blessing provided in preparing Jan for her next journey.
In keeping with Jan’s wishes, no service will take place.
