It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald Richard Clarke on Sunday, November 9th, 2025, at Sault Area Hospital.
Beloved husband of Robin Clarke (nee Briggs). Donald is survived by his loving mother Bernice Clarke, sister Gail Shanahan (Vincent), brother Boyd Clarke (Tanya), sister Sherry Clarke (Jim Webb). He also leaves behind his closest best friends Ed and Gina Junor, and his fur baby of 14 years Bailey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
He is predeceased by his father Augustus Clarke, brother in-law Art Nicholson and sister in-law Linda Nicholson.
Donald has touched so many lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in our hearts.
Cremation has already taken place, and no service will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life and burial is being planned for a later date in Markland, Newfoundland. Details will follow soon, once plans have been confirmed.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society (payable online or by cheque) as Don had a love for animals.
