The ARCH Hospice is getting ready to brighten the holidays with the fifth annual Illuminate the Season event.
Starting Nov. 20, a four-day Christmas festival will begin with everything from lights, decorated trees, wreaths, live music, gifts and an overall festive spirit for everyone to enjoy. Participants can skate with Santa, bid in the silent auction and take part in the Cocoa 5K and Marshmallow Mile.
All proceeds from Illuminate the Season with ARCH support local hospice care.

The holidays are about to shine a little brighter in Sault Ste. Marie as ARCH Hospice gets ready to kick off the 5th Annual Illuminate the Season with ARCH!.
From Nov. 20–23, The Machine Shop will transform into a sparkling winter wonderland filled with music, lights, and community spirit – and everyone’s invited to join the fun. This four-day celebration offers something for all ages. The festivities begin Nov. 20 from 8-10 p.m., when guests will get a first look at dozens of beautifully decorated trees, wreaths, and planters created by local businesses and community groups. The atmosphere continues to glow all weekend long, open from 12 – 10 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday.
There’s something for everyone, with live music, festive décor, and an exciting silent auction presented by SooToday – featuring unique gifts and experiences donated by generous local supporters.
Families won’t want to miss Santa’s Workshop, open all weekend with crafts, treats, and letter writing to the big man himself. Join the fun and Skate & Celebrate / Rock Around the Rink under The Roof on Saturday and Skate with Santa on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. And for those who like to mix holiday cheer with a little exercise, the Cocoa 5K & Marshmallow Mile, presented by Rogers Media, takes off Sunday morning – complete with hot chocolate at the finish line.
Throughout the event, guests can also visit ARCH’s Memorial Tree, a meaningful display of light and remembrance. Exclusive ARCH ornaments are available for purchase, offering families a way to honour loved ones while supporting hospice care in our community.
