Women in Crisis (Algoma) needs your help.
Come out to the first ever Amethyst Gala on November 7 and support this important service for women and children in the Algoma area.
Women in Crisis commits to providing a safe nonviolent shelter for women and their children. Women in Crisis commits to protecting confidentiality: WIC shares your information only with your signed release.
Women in Crisis commits to supporting women with their goals in the following ways:
- meeting for counselling or supportive listening
- providing housing information and forms
- referrals to the services women are looking for in the community
- information about safety planning, parenting and problem solving
- providing groups for women and their children, including house meetings where communal living expectations are presented
“Women In Crisis (Algoma) Inc. is proud to present our first annual Amethyst Gala,” said a spokesperson. “It will be a night dedicated to celebrating community, raising awareness, and supporting all the services we provide to women and children impacted by abuse and violence.”
On November 7, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., guests will enjoy an elegant evening in their finest purple attire featuring a charcuterie and appetizer bar, Silent Auction, live entertainment, photo booth, door prizes, and cash bar, all in the elegant surroundings of Grand Gardens North.
Tickets for this elegant evening in purple are just $85 per person or $615 for a reserved table of eight. There is also a support ticket option of $40. All guests will receive a tax receipt for $40 for each tickets purchased.

The Silent Auction is full of wonderful prizes too, that everyone will love to bid on. It will be a fantastic night of caring and fun, all in purple! We hope to see everyone there!”
