A 43-year-old faces charges following an incident that took place earlier this week.
In a news release issued today, Sault Ste. Marie police say officers responded to a call around 8 p.m. last night of a suspicious person in the 300 block of Lake Street.
Upon arrival, officers located the accused inside a fenced property belonging to a business.
As a result, Joseph Bernardi was charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence.
Bernardi was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 29.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Bernardi is considered innocent until proven guilty.
